ID check & age verification (YOTI) / FSK18 check via video

The ID check & age verification (YOTI)
This verification includes the ID and FSK18 check.
You will need a valid ID document for this check.

ATTENTION - The entire process is completed in one go and should not be interrupted if possible. Therefore, please take at least 10 minutes and have your valid ID document ready.

• After 10 minutes, the process is automatically canceled for security reasons and must therefore be restarted.
• During the entire verification process, the browser should also not be closed, and the page should not be left.
• Should an unsuccessful attempt nevertheless occur, the process can be aborted with “Exit” and then restarted. The restart is possible up to a maximum of five attempts. If the maximum is exceeded, verification is also possible via the FSK18 check via video (see below).
• If there is an interruption during ID verification (YOTI), a timer is displayed showing the time (10 minutes) until the next opportunity to participate.

First, you will be asked for your browser's permission to access your camera. This is mandatory and must be granted so that you and your ID document can be recorded.

Next, you specify which document (e.g. ID card, passport, etc.) is to be used for verification and the country from which the document originates.

The first step is the recording of the ID document.

The ID document must be held still, uncovered and clearly visible to the camera while the photo is being taken.

In the second step, your face is recorded.

Here too, it is important that your face is clearly recognizable and not covered so that it can be compared with the picture on your ID document.
You can check the photos you have taken yourself afterward and before uploading them. Please judge for yourself whether they meet the requirements and then upload them. If the quality is not good enough, you can try again straight away.

Once your images have been successfully uploaded and meet the requirements, it will take a few moments to complete the verification process. So you will need to be a little patient here. As soon as the process has been successfully completed, you will be automatically redirected back to your profile and the ID verification will be considered passed.

The FSK18 check via video

You will need a pen and paper for this check, as well as a valid ID document.

As soon as you click/tap on 'Select', a new window will open in which your unique PIN code will be displayed. Write it down on the piece of paper.

Now start the recording by clicking / tapping the small round button.

• Please ensure that the lighting conditions are good enough so that everything is clearly visible.
• First look straight into the camera for 5 seconds.
• Then hold the front of your ID document in front of the camera for at least 5 seconds, and then the back for at least 5 seconds. The photo and your date of birth must be clear and easily recognizable.
• Then hold the piece of paper with the PIN code in the camera for at least 5 seconds so that it is clearly visible.

As soon as you have finished the recording, you can play it back again to check it. If the recording is not suitable, you can try again with 'New attempt'.

As soon as everything fits, click / tap on 'Upload directly'. Support will then check your video and - if everything meets the requirements - approve it.
